Go out at night with the goal of approaching one girl. All you have to do is say "hi" and make eye contact. You can do whatever you want at that point, run away if you want. Stay out for four hours if you have to, one approach is a success. Do it again the next night. And again. Try pushing it for longer, try doing more approaches. Don't be hard on yourself. Soon you'll find it's easy, but only if you do it consistently. If you take a break for a few days, you'll notice it gets harder. So go out for 20 minutes, or talk to one girl in the day every day. Oh, and no alcohol.

I can tell myself "It's ridiculous to stop yourself from approaching" but the fact is, if I haven't approached a girl in a few days, it's really hard. I've done 7k+ approaches. On the other hand if I've approached a lot lately, it's like breathing. You can't reason with this impulse control, you have to console it with consistent proof you'll be okay.

It's okay dude. And not every post on Seddit is a source of advice anyway, this is a better post than some of the things I've seen lately. Approach Anxiety starts from within, what's the worst that can happen? The girl says no? Think about it that way, rejection may sting but its certain. Regret makes you waste your time when you can be talking to more girls! C'mon son!

I'm in the same boat man. I can't approach yet. I see girls and want to and I think about it and I get caught in my own head and can't do it. I'm 22 years old and have never cold approached a girl in my life. I've had plenty of success with women and my confidence is just fine but walking up and talking to a stranger is so difficult. The best to practice this stuff is by going to a club because there is an abundance of girls, there is more opportunity to experience and get over fear and you can get away with shitty awkward game since chicks will hardly ever remember.

Besides, it's only hard in the beginning stages of game but then you get used to it like everything else. Also when you go out, just give yourself permission to suck at the initial few approaches so that you get the social momentum going.

Yo it's hard for me to take you seriously about these split second interactions fucking up your life, bro. These girls are strangers, you don't know them, you don't owe them anything, you didn't miss out on anything because nothing was there. So take that little smile or moment and enjoy it. You don't have to force everything or anything. Be cool about it. Pick your spots if you have to. Approach anxiety never goes away so get used to it, and just take it easy in these situations.
