I work with this girl, HB9, we'll call her Sarah. She recently broke up with her boyfriend, of I think 2 or 3 years. She's worked with me for about 6 months and we've become very good friends. Since she broke up she got very flirty with me, culminating one night in her confessing that she had been having dreams involving me and her ever since she started working with me. I reciprocated, and confessed that I also had a crush on her (which was true). Since then the relationship between us has gotten ever more flirty. I am planning to leave this job soon, and because of that there really isn't any pressure to avoid awkwardness - worst case, I just leave a few months early.

Unfortunately, she doesn't feel comfortable starting a new relationship so soon after her last one. I haven't felt like I should push her on that, so we're stuck at flirting with each other for the time being. Obviously, the lack of escalation is not ideal, but I'm not really sure how to escalate safely. This is where the question lies.

Is there anything I can do to make her feel more comfortable, or is this something she has to do on her own? Is there anything else I could do to escalate without potentially alienating her?
