Request: Advice for being a better wing man.

Keys to being a good wingman:

Team work - you work the other people in the group to give your wing space/time to isolate
Be able to recognize what to say/do with minimal instruction/prompting from your wing.
Raise value, especially that of your wing.
Not getting caught up in the Alpha game, especially with your wing

Things bad wingmen do:

Be oblivious
Lower the value of your wing - it makes you look just as bad if not worse
Forget that the end goal is to get bros laid
Take over the interaction or run your own game at the expense of his.

I don't see it so much as a wing is someone who is "lower" than you and adds to.your social value. My dudes I go out with all bring something to the table. We've all got our own style and approach. We're there to create group social value. People see a couple well dressed outwardly friendly dudes and people notice us and want to gravitate.

We enjoy our company, but know that our mutual goals are the same.

the type of guys I see as "wingmen" are typically guys in relationships.

I don't call my wing a wing. But we are very good friends and he is a natural at getting women to like him. We have been friends since middle school and he is probably one of the few friends I can take out just to meet new people. He's just a bro like that

One of the things that he does is he always jumps in when I struggle with a girl. He sees me struggling he shoots a quick "so me and him where out the other day with a few friends and we some how end up packing into out friend Chloe's car..." And if he is struggling I do the same for him. Being in the heat of the moment puts allot on your mind. So we constantly see what we do wrong. He isn't part of the community, he's just good naturally. So he usually gives the straight up minimum of the answer. Which is good and bad.

TL;DR: wing knows what you are doing and helps you out.

This is tricky, you should never be the wing man you are the alpha one. The wingman recognizes the alpha and keep feeding him with stuff like:

all this girls are really into you they are looking at you. Make your bro feel even more alpha.
