In fact, last night I had an absolutley brutal rejection where, after i'd been rejected, the girl giggled with her friend and then made the sound of impersonating someone being sick. Feels bad man lol. It was only my first approach of the night and I couldn't bring myself to do another one all night as I was just too self conscious. Hopefully my brain will forget that soon and i'll be able too approach again soon!

If you dress like a biker, people expect you to act like a biker. Dress like a prep, they expect you to be a prep.

If you are classically handsome, she expects you to behave like a guy that gets girls.

You aren't. You don't realize you have to flirt, that you need to flirt.

So they are turned off by your behavior. You don't meet her behavioral expectations.

Being a male ugly duckling is a weird situation to be in, but it’s probably easier to understand if you think about the various ways that men react to very beautiful women:

1) Assume the woman is stuck up, and either “neg” her to balance the playing field, or insult her out of rejection and bitterness. This might explain them busting your balls or calling you gay.

2) Are intimidated, and try to connect via proxy. This might explain the women that are attracted, but don’t reach out to you head on— they talk to your friends and try to find indirect openings.

Regarding your question of how to engage someone you’re interested in but might be too shy, how would you like for that aforementioned hypothetical stunningly beautiful woman to engage? First, to connect. She shows herself early to be down-to-earth and engaging. She knows she’s got looks (she’s not oblivious), but that’s not all she has; she’s smart, funny, accomplished. She treats everyone fairly and is a good person.

So again, flip that scenario. You take the first step in talking to your shy prospect, but be polite, smile, and comforting. Ask about her, don’t just talk about yourself. Carry the conversation until her comfort level catches up and she realizes you’re just two people having a chat.

A final thought— you’re a good looking guy, congratulations. You’re doing this on easy mode. But don’t let that be all you are. You have to work to be the best you possible so that you’re more than just a pretty face. Don’t let your looks be a crutch; it should be the icing on the cake.

Friendly vibes, build more comfort, you have all the attraction you need right there on your face. Escalating is rougher since you have to convince em you aren’t a fuckboy, trust becomes a bigger issue for you than most as well, unless the girls are well travelled then yea you are good.

I would just try and be more persistent and friendly. Interject yourself into the conversation more. Maybe you’re subconsciously sending out “I’m too good for you to talk to me” vibes? Bring more open would definitely help.
