It was a SOI. You probably didn't do any damage if she was already into you, but a text is a damn weak way to do it. Better would have been, as the night is ending you say to her in person:

You (with good eye contact): I had a great time tonight, next time I'll remember to kiss you. [She smiles, looks away. Pause until eye contact is reinitiated]. Actually... [kiss].

Next time you see her, kiss her AT THE START. Then you haven't been building the damn thing up to this enormous thing.

There is no good time to make a move unless you are setting up the time to make your move via escalation. Read some of the basics, like Mystery's routine, "Do you want to kiss me? ...I didn't say that you could."

If you had done a good job of demonstrating sexual interest on the date, then it would have been cool. But since you didn't it was probably lame.
