If you are doing things right, as far as seddit is concerned, a number of different girls will be trying to text you at any given time. While this is a great side effect of getting a handful of numbers every time you go out, it can also lead to some awkward and potentially game killing situations.

I learned my lesson when my phone went off right after having sex with a girl. She grabbed the phone off my nightstand only to notice a very sexual text from another girl. Needles to say she was pissed and it killed the mood.

This is where the private inbox comes in. This a feature built into GoSMS (and Handcent I believe). Basically, you can set contacts and text threads to go only to your private inbox, thus allowing you to defend yourself from post-hookup phone snooping. Whenever I get messages from girls in the private inbox, my phone just looks like it has new updates available and a password is required to view anything. As an added bonus it helps keep your contacts organized.
