I've been reading around in a bunch of forums, including the swing related forums, and many people really have a bad view of r/seduction. Basically saying "what a bunch of douchebags" or that the only thing anyone here cares about is getting a girl in bed, who cares about her, and so on.

As an example, one of the recent field reports talks about talking to a girl and getting her to move past her rejection due to possible boyfriend and on to him. This has some good and bad aspects to it, as it was fairly obvious from the read that she was in control of herself, and he just asked the question. She used her boyfriend as a shield, and a poor one at that, to hope she could instill resistance into herself.

The question is really, what does this mean to any of us? Does this mean anyone who takes home a girl/guy is a seducer? Or does it mean that we are douchebags because he didn't back down at attempts to convince oneself that they shouldn't be doing what they are?

What does it mean to the girl in the situation, that her boyfriend was used as a shield? An ineffective one at that.

What about you? If she were your girlfriend, would you be mad or understanding of the human condition and that she needed some sexual relief?

Could you date another version of yourself? A girl who understood seduction and used it to get what she and a partner want?

To me the key is most of the "direction" here is just to be true to yourself, drop the focus on sex/single person, have fun, and recognize other peoples non-verbal communication. What seems to be missing is including information about empathy for the person you are with, or the inability for others to read a story/direction and understand that the empathy exists.

(Personally, I would have been mad she used me as a shield. I'm no shield, I just want to get her field report! Equal opportunity based relationship = fun! )
