Hey /r/seduction. Randomly, I decided I wanted to message 1000 different girls. To my dismay, out of 250 users available, there were only about 138 of them who were cute. So I decided to send messages to that many girls. I'm currently on day 3 of the experiment.

Background: Never tried online dating, wanted to see if the numbers game would work. I think there was someone doing something pretty similar. I'd say I'm OK on the scale (6-7). Asian, slim build. I skimmed over a few pieces of advice on here and decided to combine being direct with a qualifying statement below.

The experiment: I messaged every girl "This might sound weird, but I thought you were cute and wanted to see if you were as interesting as you looked".

Results: Out of 138 messages sent, I received 5 messages back. Out of those 5 messages, only 1 is still messaging me back and forth.

Thoughts: I think I was having more success in the club than online. Although I'll admit, online dating really is throwing a big net and hoping to catch a few. I'm probably doing something wrong, but this was a pretty good start.

Edit: Thanks for the feedback. I literally just started this on the fly and didn't actually expect anything from this. Guess it's back to reading some more of this subreddit.
