Should you use ultimatums?

Id say it depends on the situation, but for the most part I'm going to go with a solid no. Don't use ultimatums.

I kind of use ultimatums, but they're heavily implied rather than laid out clearly. I think this way is more powerful.

For example, if a girl says we should meet "just as friends" I reply: "No thanks, I have enough friends already. I'd rather take you on a date"

The implication is that you're either going to take her on date, or you're not going to take her out at all. I.E. an ultimatum.

I'm kind of split here. I think an ultimatum should be used only in very particular, last ditch effort circumstances... If you often freak out and send them too soon, I'd remove them entirely from your plan.

First of all, realize that if it fails, its the last thing you'll ever be able to send. Attempt everything, wait them out for at least a week, then ask her out several times. If somehow at this point, you want to try an ultimatum, feel free. Just don't expect much from it.

For what it's worth, I just sent an "ultimatum" a few days ago and it worked great. Basically, I fucked a girl the week before. We texted the next day, and then something strange started happening. She booty called me without exception every night at 3am (I never picked up of course), but wouldn't respond to texts the next day.

At this point, I'm basically part of her carousel of guys. So I told her (contrary to popular "alpha" advice), that I wanted her badly, but that she had to get her shit together and make real plans if she wanted something to happen. To me at some point it becomes alpha to call a girl on her shit, and lo-and behold, insta text back and date scheduled.

Anyways, it's very rare, and for all intents and purposes you shouldn't use one. They are generally ineffective unless the girl is showing tons and tons of interest, but it's just not working out for some bizarre reason and you need to take control of the situation.
