If I'm talking to a girl after an opener, and she is at least a bit interested and is sexually available, I can get her number. Here's my process:

  1. Direct "Hey, I saw you and had to tell you you look spectacular/your hair is esp. stunning/you're utterly elegant, etc.", introductions
  2. Quickly get to rapport building, banter lightly if it seems natural prior, but most of the time, straight to rapport building, and banter lightly during that
  3. Move her ASAP, sometimes as soon as 30 seconds
  4. Get to know her for 10-ish minutes, usually never more than 15, get a nice blueprint of who she is, make sure to build the best connection I can with what I'm given, reveal a few things about myself so I'm not a total mystery, naturally tease and flirt with her, get some form of compliance/hold her hand, etc.
  5. Qualify her with a frame of "Hey, so far you seem like a cool girl, I'm interested in seeing if you're of value to my life, let's meet." with maybe something like "Hey, I need to get going, but you seem pretty cool, let's get coffee and talk more. What's your schedule like?" and usually naturally get her number after I schedule a date in person
  6. 95% of the time I keep texting to a minimum, literally a quick "Nice to meet you" with my name and maybe a smile a few hours after we meet, and either a text to let her know I'm on my way and I'll see her soon, or one to set the date up

I realize literally 80% of numbers are flakes, but is there any way I can get better consistency? I feel like flaking is a frustrating and innocuous but undefeatable plague - sometimes even my numbers are responsive but they flake numerous times. Am I building too much rapport/staying too long? Bad text game? Not enough sexual tension, spiking her buying temp. and not acting? Is there anything wrong with that process? Appreciate the feedback!
