This event happened a few nights ago.

Was finished with work and gathered myself to walk to my car. As I walk two girls are walking towards me. One of the ladies has music blasting through her phone. I figure, screw it and be like those guys you see dancing outside the club in one of the all time top posts on this sub-reddit. I start dancing to the music and they are very happy. Turns out the two girls are there for a cannibis industry happening in town and they are walking back to their hotel. I should have offered a ride, but I wanted to walk a little more because I had a mad day at work and was feeling upset. Continue walking with them and she lets me put in Dave Matthews Band "Ants Marching" as part of this walk and dance through downtown. They seem to enjoy my silly moves and sing along. We arrive at the karaoke bar they were going towards.

This is the point where I slip back into old ways. Not knowing more where to engage. They ask if I wanted a beer. I decline because I'm not really into drinking. (33 year old if wondering) I stand back a little so they can get their drink. They sit down at a table. It was at this time that I didn't have the same sense of joviality from them as on the street. They were at the table silent (possible shit test as this community might say?). Not knowing what to do I politely thanked them for a nice walk and for meeting them. I walk out of the bar. Most likely feeling a sense of (unworthy) accomplishment of actually approaching, I walked out of the bar. It was at this point that the walk felt longer than usual. Why was I not passing the places I know? How am I not at my car. Well I became an absolute idiot and had walked 3.5 miles away from my car. Luckily, got a fellow co-worker to pick me up from where I was and get me back safely to my car.

TL;DR: I walked and danced with two girls to a karaoke bar, felt a cold shoulder from them in the bar, walked out of said bar to find myself lost and away from my car in a city I've lived in all my life.
