According to the popular literature, and as has been my experience, if you just met her in a bar and have only been in that one bar with her, fat chance unless she is really hot for you and very forward. In rough sketch form: You need to do a venue change, first of all. "Hey, I'm going to the bar next door for XYZ reason. Come check it out with me." Now later when you make the move to get back to her place, you're no longer some random guy from a bar. You're a guy she's hung out with before; You've gone places together!

When things start winding down at venue 2, make your move. Some ideas are "Hey, you want one more drink? Me too but this place is getting stale. Let's go back to your place and I'll make this awesome drink for you" This is pretty direct and she'll know what's up right away. But if she's digging you, she might go for it.

If you want to be more subtle, you can try "I've got to get up early tomorrow, but let me walk/drive you home/let's share a cab." Then be a man of action and start making arrangements...paying the tab, calling a cab, etc. Don't ask for permission, just act as if she is cool with it. If you take a cab, get out at her place and say you live close and can walk. However you get there, when you get to her place, ask to use her bathroom. Once inside her place, turn on your end-game.

Obviously, there are tons of ways to screw that whole sequence up, trust me. But when it works, it works. I think I got that from Roosh's book, BANG, if you want the details.

Oh, and one last thing, you said "before anything happens". Something HAS to happen before you show up to her door. You've got to escalate, dude, or you are going to be in the friend-zone so fast it'll snap your dick off. ABC, Always Be Closing.

I thought this would be awesome until I had it happen a couple of times, and I got blown out when I met her friends at her place. When I've been invited back to the girls place, it's always been to meet and get approval of her social circle...and my game just wasn't strong enough to handle it when it happened (I'm in my 30s, when a 23 year old girl's friends meet me, they are on the offensive instantly, even if the girl is enthusiastic when she introduces me). I much prefer bringing her back to my place, where she can try to convince my best friend (my grouchy old dog) to like her.

But, if you still want to go to her place: If you build a lot of attraction, it seems to just happen. I had it happen three times in one month of meeting girls; it only took an hour or two of hanging out before she invited me back to her place. I think my mistake was also letting her sort of take over the date by leading me around, and having me follow her home like a puppy...so I think her attraction was waning by the time we got to her place, and once I started interacting with her friends and being put on the defensive, it all went down hill.

Anyway, first time it happened, I was thinking, "Holy shit, this is awesome!" The second time, I was thinking, "Hmmm...I wonder if I'm getting laid or getting the third degree?" By the third time, I was thinking, "Well, at least I'll learn something." In the third case, the girl had to go meet her friends, and it was either tag along or not get to hang out with her again, since I wouldn't be in town for much longer. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone along with the plan.

Live in a shithole with crude roommates. Talk about your shithole and crude roommates while out with her.

I've asked many a man back to my place after debating... huh, I could either fuck him in a stanky place with crabs and rotten beer and burrito wrappers from last year or we could go back to my room with clean sheets and a toilet that has seen bleach in the past week and roommates who will leave us alone (if they're even home).

If you're at that point, though. Dunno exactly how you should get there. Sometimes the guy just has it. Or I'm drunk.

AH, yes, edited to clarify: you don't actually have to live in a shithole. Just tell her that. Make it seem bad. If you don't have roommates, talk about what a slob you are or how loud your neighbors are or how you never have food in the fridge or how there's this fucking pigeon who has set up nest in your AC. Whatever. She will insist on going back to her place.... assuming she's into you.

ALSO--- make sure to go out near her place. I always said, "well, my place is just around the corner" knowing his was a long train/cab ride away.
