Look into a girl's eyes sexually (deadpan gaze) while she looks into your eyes and you'll feel the tension. That's basically it. Touching her, escalating kino while feeling the uncertainty of what's going to happen next will also have that feeling. But too much tension will break your fishing line and the fish will escape your rod, if you know what I mean. It's the same in fishing. Pull, project your desire onto her, but switch it up with pushing her away, make her laugh or talk about boring logistics stuff to let her feel less flustered when need be.

Tension is the lingering feeling in the air of "will we? Won't we?" Flirting I consider more overt like "you look cute" etc.

I find tension builds up naturally for me because I'm pretty respectful of people's boundaries and potential triggers to touch, so this often gets interpreted by women as me being hard to read, or unsure if I'm attracted to them.

I actually just hooked up with somebody a couple days ago and while I figured form the get-go she was interested in hooking up (invited me to sleep over on her couch), I actually didn't know for sure until we were in the act.

To break it down further, prior we hung out once and it was pretty friendly for the most part. I put my hand on her shoulder and the top of her back a couple times. I made passive comments that her hair was cute, or that she's cute. These are all things that ride the line between friendly and flirty, she told me as much after we hooked up that she wasn't sure but had a hunch.

Furthermore, when she invited me over we had dinner and hungout with her roomie, she even offered to bring sheets out for me to sleep on the couch, but I just kept slowly escalating, asking if she wanted to cuddle etc.

Tension is very important. Even though we ended up hooking up, if I on day one of hanging out with her just put all my cards on the table and said "Hey I think you're hot, I want to hook up with you", it kills the tension and she would have been way more likely to flat out reject my advances.

Tension exists in movies and books too. Think about the two characters that everybody wants to hook-up but things keep getting in their way, that's tension. That build up is everything.

There are all kinds of strange ideas in seduction, and ‘building tension’ is one of those vague concepts you don’t need to worry about.

Focus on the actual act of flirting. If things go well, there will naturally come a moment when you just know it’s time to make things a bit more spicy. But the other person has to participate, without that there’s no flirting, no tension, nothing.
