You have to realize that looks are only one part of the game. While your looks will improve over time, as you exercise, eat healthier and learn how to style your hair and dress for your looks, the most dramatic increase will come from experience by talking to women. Incidentally, that's what's most important.

And in order to be good at something, you must embrace being terrible at it at first. You need to let go of the fear of being bad at it. As with everything in life, you will be at first. Keep talking to girls and seeing what works and what doesn't. Eventually you'll have a colorful dating life. So go and face your fears and don't be afraid to be vulnerable.
