you can initiate the first text, nothing wrong with that. only important thing is, make sure you respond within a day. (problems might arise otherwise)

perhaps you could acknowledge that it was fun, and make sure you reference future such dates.

"hey today was fun. let's do it again soon."

After hanging out, I would probably send her a text immediately after saying something fun/flirty. I would tease her about something on the date and keep things very lighthearted. Then I would tell her that I'll talk to her later (I may leave it open ended or actually tell her when I'll contact her again).

I think this is the best way because it's putting you in the driver's seat and it's not clingy. You can text her later in the week to set up another date.

The most important thing is to not over-text, it's a game killer. I would text only to set up dates.
