I'm not talking about the eye contact you have when you actually approach someone and talk to them. I'm talking about the eye contact you make when you are trying to approach someone.

I am pretty bashful when it comes to that, so I always dart my eyes away when I lock eyes with the cutie across a room. Yesterday I was walking to my classes in college and I was about to pass a pretty girl and I looked away too fast when she looked at me. When I looked back she smiled. Not a im-really-creeped-out smile but a legitimate smile. I blew a good opportunity but I want to keep trying to practice good eye contact without looking creepy.

Any tips?
