Often times we get caught up in our (PUA) problems so much we probably forget to take another look at the big picture. What am I doing here, and why am I doing it?

We, as men, are all about solving problems, so we divide, formulate, inquire and plan to get them solved. How do I talk to this woman? How can I be more charming? How do I get this hot blonde into bed?... We rationalize a lot. And then we dive into every step, logically, which is awesome: that's how we get things done.

If you have gotten somewhat far enough into pickup, you've probably looked back and thought "I remember when I had this horrible approach anxiety, and couldn't even talk to a girl I liked!", but now you've gotten good at it, and now you can confidently approach a beautiful woman and unleash your usual suaveness, get her number, and probably sleep with her days later. Some other men may have gotten a girlfriend, wife, etc. and that's cool too.

It's hard for newbies to see it this way, but the point is: it's not about the end goal as it is about the journey -into pickup, that is.

Always remember why you're doing this. Maybe you want to get really good at talking to women, expand your social circle, or just bang as many women as you want, or become a better version of yourself, or maybe you want a girlfriend. Whatever is that you want for yourself, understand that if anyone out there can do it, so can you.

By getting the big picture of the journey, you'll get a better look at how small the problems you're dealing with really are. You'll beat your approach anxiety, and then your next problem-to-solve will be talking to the girl, next some kino action, next a number or a pull. But let's not only look at practical pickup stuff likes push-pulls, but other bigger problems, like: one-itis, neediness, abundance mentality, and so on. So what if you're super nervous around girls? Just start approaching and later you'll see.

Pickup is first, second and lastly about self development. If you could just focus on improving yourself as a person, professional and human being, you'll find a lot of other stuff a lot less complicated (we call it "inner game").

Nothing will ever happen unless you put yourself out there and start practicing. Don't be one a PUA nerd who's an expert on NLP but knows nothing about actually applying it (or if it works).

Finally, I'll recommend a really good book that I've been reading and almost done with that I think you should check out: The way of the Superior Man by David Deida.
