I often see people I know walking down hallways or on my street. With guys, I greet them happily. Ask them how it's going, give them a quick handshake or hand on the shoulder as I pass. Usually because myself and them have places to go and shit to do, so it's just a quick acknowledgement as I walk by

I have no idea how to do this with girls. I'll make eye contact and smile, but

You know how girls differ. I can't nod my head up and ask them "what's good?", they don't do that shit like guys do (I've tried this, actually, which is why I'm writing this now. They smile back at me then suddenly seem off-put by the "manly" greeting). I think an attempted hand shake would be worse, so I'm not even going to bother with that

So basically I make eye contact and smile, wait for a smile back. This isn't 1/10 the connection I get with guys, so I'm wondering how to get a good strong interaction while passing by. Basically like a "quickie"

It's either I learn how to do that or just pretend not to notice the girl when I walk by, which would just be weird, especially if she walks right by me
