It's all about perspective in this case. For me, the purpose of game is to help meet and communicate with women. That's it. I have met tons of women in the 10years I've been at it. I have been with women who didn't like me at first and women who couldn't believe someone like me could like them. I have lost a lot more than I have won but after 10years you can recognize when things are out of your control and I wouldn't go back to the way things were without it.

I think you are right

I used to desperately wanted to believe in the older definition of game (whereby it was about MAKING girls attracted to you with various game techniques and stuff) but my years of experience have taught me that that definition is just snake oil.

Fact is, if she's not into you/you aren't her physical type etc etc, then no amount of 'game'/charisma/confidence/push-pull bla bla bla will cut any ice. She's not gonna want to sleep with you, ,just like how you wouldn't wanna sleep with Rosie O'Donnell even if she was funny and teased you and had charisma and tried to 'make you chase' (if you believe mysterymethod game), or was super direct and vulnerable (if you prefer modern game) etc etc etc

Game is really about identifying which girls are at least somewhat into you, and then amplifying that existing attraction (or at least no losing it) and leading the interaction to sex

And that's not necessarily always as easy as you may think!! (unless maybe you're handsome as shit, 100% her type, and her attraction for you is through the roof!)

For me the purpose of game is to meet better quality women. I’ve only had a relationship or a “fling” with a few women I actually liked. the rest who liked me I did not find that attractive. To top that off, I couldn’t talk to women at all. So for everyone game is different. To be honest for me I don’t really care about pushing away the girls that are interested right now. Because I know I can always find more :)

For me, at least, I feel like this is mostly backwards. I'm in the weird category of a good-looking guy who always has moderately attractive, but sexually aggressive, women approaching me. So, being lazy and ego-attached, I never bothered to learn how to approach very attractive (to me) women. The result, of course, was a string of unsatisfying relationships with women I wasn't really into. And it led to a lot of hurt feelings and worse, for which I accept responsibility and deeply regret.

For me, "game" is about identifying and initiating relationships with women that I want to know, so that I am the one doing the choosing, not responding as a passive recipient. It's simply about being a man.
