I’ve learned there is so much more regret in not asking a girl for their number/approaching then getting rejected. If you get rejected so what, life goes on you continue with what you were doing anyway. If you don’t ask/approach you have so many what ifs that go through your head. The what if’s out weigh the rejection so it’s better to just know for sure no matter the answer.

I’m dealing with a what if now. I’m a dog groomer and a cute customer came in and dropped her dog off, she was visiting from the southern part of the state so I told myself fuck it I’ll just ask when she picks up when she’s leaving and if she wants to grab a drink before she does. I felt confident but then let the over thinking take over. I let the thoughts of well she might be leaving tonight so what’s the point take over. The thought of well I’m at work if it doesn’t go good she could tell a manager and I get yelled at. All excuses. If it didn’t go well, who cares she’ll just say she’s not interested in a nice way and that’d be the end of it. I also let the fact she was with her friend make me more anxious. I’m just getting back into this after a 3 year relationship, but I’m glad I’m seeing where I’m struggling and know where to focus my attention to improve. I remember before I was anxious the first few approaches but after that I felt fine. Even after the first approach after I did and started talking it felt natural. It really is just mind over matter. Just be confident, don’t worry about an outcome, and just talk have fun and ask. There’s no reason not to, no matter what your brain tries to tell you. The longer you wait to ask the more your brain will trick you into not asking. Don’t waste time, don’t let your brain find excuses. Just do it guys you’ll feel so much better. Learn from your mistakes and the mistakes of others. Improve one day at a time it’s not a race it’s a marathon.
