I was a 30 year old accountant who went crazy with cold approach and pickup and didn’t ever stop trying to get good, even after over 500 failures. I recently got my first taste of success after I fixed my fashion, hairstyle, and vocal tonality and fucked my first 15 girls.
I got depressed for a while after the quarantine killed all my leads and plates and left me alone just like in the beginning but I pulled myself back up with no support from anyone else and started working on my Instagram. I filled it with high value pics and recently fucked and plated my first 9/10 as a result.
Just yesterday, I fucked another 8/10. Met her on a date and banged the same day at my place, then had dinner and came back to my place again to bang a second time.
I'm starting to come to a very important realization that is not talked about enough here. Progress in game is definitely not linear. I want you to imagine that instead of a skill in which you gradually get better and better every day, instead it's a Height Requirement bar at the roller coaster. You know, those height bars that say, "You must be this tall to ride"?
There's an SMV requirement for game. "You must have this much SMV to fuck" and if you don't get over it, you'll be struggling and clawing for every lay, getting almost no results, only occasionally getting lucky with bottom of the barrel girls once in a blue moon.
It's very easy to get discouraged when you first start out, whether it's online game or cold approach. People will start to lift and think that progress is linear. I see guys all the time: "I'm lifting, I'm eating right, I'm reading Stoicism books, and I'm cold approaching, why am I still not getting any results?" It's incredibly frustrating because it feels like you're doing all the right things but still not getting anywhere. This is where most guys quit and go back to their old habits, dismissing all game or self improvement as a scam...
Fellow men, most of us are not conditioned to keep persisting despite repeated failure, that's why there's so few real alphas in society anymore, most people give up or quit after they give it their best shot and still come up short.
This is why it's so important to have a complete picture of how female attraction really works, based on experience, not theory.
In any society, the vast majority of women (95%+) will determine within less than 1 minute of conversation if you are someone who is worth fucking. This is based on everything. Height, looks, race, muscles, voice, fashion, social skills, body language, humor, social proof, everything. Everything adds up to form your SMV score. Some of these factors matter more than others, like height, looks, and muscles. That's why you'll notice that even some beta guys have no problems with women whatsoever if they are good looking and tall enough. Unfortunately, female nature dictates that most guys are NOT worthy enough for sex or dating.
Therefore, even when a guy starts to really give it his all and go to the gym every day, they are very likely to fail at first, since they are not past the SMV Requirement Bar. It's not about slowly getting better over time, getting 1 girl a year at first, then 1 girl a month, then 1 girl a week etc etc. The reality is the average guy will get almost no results in the beginning, maybe an occasional lay with an ugly girl below their looks scale.
However, once a guy finally gets past the SMV Requirement Bar by working on all factors (body language, tonality, fashion), not just hyperfocusing on gym, the results will start coming in all at once. Banging 3 girls a week or more is possible and you'll find that at a certain level, only logistics becomes the limiting factor.
My fellow man, I see you grinding hard every day. I see you working out at home, and I see you going back to the gym if your state opened up. I see you reading books on seduction and pickup. I see you working on your online dating profiles. And I understand how frustrating it is to work on all these things and still feel like no progress is being made.
Relax. Take a deep breath. I want you to imagine that you are slowly building up your SMV. It won't always be this difficult, brother. Keep building up your SMV every day, remember to focus on areas that the vast majority of guys neglect, like voice, body language, fashion, and social media, everything adds up. Always keep that SMV Requirement Bar in your mind. I see you struggling, I see you considering whether or not to continue and whether it's worth it. Don't. Keep going. One day, you'll be past the bar and just like you can ride every roller coaster you ever wanted once you're past a certain height, you'll be able to bang as many beautiful girls as you've ever wanted. This isn't one of those crab bucket forums where everyone tries to keep everyone down. For the most part, we're all here to support and help each other. Keep reading, keep implementing and experimenting, one day you will be past the bar and you will get more results than you know what to do with.
