So after a few months following seddit I have found there is one thing still challenging for me. Cold Approaches vs non-Cold approaches. I don't know what the real term for a non-cold approach is, but I mean being good with women that you already kind of know. From classmates to old friends.

In Cold approach, having confidence is #1 in my book. And it took me a few months to get into what I think of as "confident habits" Among these include things like:

-Not giving too much attention

-Showing evidence of being outcome independent

-Not giving a girl a pedestal

-Dealing with shit tests like a pro

Most people know what I mean. One aspect of this I found to be great is to never "ask" for a number persay. I usually do a 'suggestion'

"You should give me your number"

pull out phone "You're gonna give me your number"

hand her the phone "I think you should put in your number"

These are SO MUCH DIFFERENT than:

"Can I have your number?"

"Would it be alright to call you?"

Like everything in this business, everything is about your unique situation, but I have just found in general it is better to go with a suggestion against asking.

So if you never thought of that before, awesome.

Heres my question though!

This is easy for me in a cold-approach setting. But in a non-cold approach situation does anyone have experience with something like this? If I do a non-cold approach with someone I know, I'm 9/10 of the time looking for a date, and not just an f-close.

But I am unsure if those "suggestions" work so well for a date as opposed to a number.

So I was thinking that it would be better to go with things like

"You should get coffee with me sometime"

"I think we should see that movie tonight"

if your ballsy "We're are going on a date this weekend"

as opoosed to

"Do you want to get coffee with me sometime?"

"Would you like to see a movie with me?"

"Do you want to go on a date?"

I know those last three examples were the worst of the worst, but you get my point. I am unsure if going for a suggestion route is a good way to go when looking for a real date as opposed to a cold approach number.

I think my biggest fear is that without an actual 'asking' method I will come off as a douche or too confident. I'm actually a pretty low-key/nice/quiet guy when not at a club or actively working on a girl. But for a date, I'm not sure if using a suggestive measure will make me seem too much like another guy just trying to get laid as opposed to myself who just wants a date.

TL;DR Need advice on how confidently should a date be made in warm approach. Can you keep the confidence without seeming arrogant or too confident to the point that it becomes a turn off?
