This is a good question that gets overlooked in this forum repeatedly. The truth of the matter is that there are only really two things you can do: 1) wear condoms; and 2) communicate with your partners. Neither is 100% guaranteed to protect you - that's a simple fact of life.

The only thing more effective than a condom is abstinence.
They are really your only two choices.

The HPV vaccine only protects against 2 of the worst types of HPV (and 2 other low-risk types).
You are still at risk of other strains, some of which are only temporary and have little significance.
Which is why vaccinated girls are still urged to get regular pap smears.
Men can get the same vaccine if they wish, up until the age of 26.
Men mostly never develop any symptoms or health problems from HPV (or HSV).

You can still catch HPV or Herpes with a condom but it reduces the risk.
There is no test available for HPV, but there is for Herpes.

So even if a girl presents you with the clean results of an STD screen, she could still have HPV. Which you could still catch from her even if you wear a condom. It's just a fact of life you have to accept.

Ok I always wear a condom for sex but never for receiving oral sex, anyone know if I am still at high risk to catch anything this way? (sorry if this is not the right place to post this but it's been on my mind for awhile)
