I prefer "When are you free this week?" If she likes you, she'll tell you. If she doesn't like you, she'll act like she doesn't have free time. Straightforward, and you know how to proceed.

Follow up with "Let's meet at place X at time Y." Take charge, lead the interaction.

Its harder for her to make a excuse for more than one day

This is a fucking horrible mindset. If she wants to make an excuse, then she doesn't want to go out with you. You should be making dates with girls who actually want to go out with you.

The whole idea of having to "get around" her making an excuse is wrong at best, and could be downright harmful.

The best strategy I've come across, and the one I use, is to ask her for her schedule. After suggesting the activity: "I'm busy Tues and Thurs, what does your schedule look like this week?" Or "I'm free Sun-Wed, what's your schedule look like?" depending on if you are free or busy more.

Then, you get the nights she is free, and you pick one. No way for her to be ambiguous and no way for her to say no.

With this, you still might get a no if she is already busy, which is not what you want.

What about something like: "hey id like to have a drink with you at (location)" wait for answer "are you free on wednesday?"

This way you dont let her make excuses. If shes intereseted in going out with you, shell say yes and then you can get a day without any problems. If she doesnt want to, shell have to tell you. This way you are completely sure about her and you dont let her go, cause you picked two unlucky days, where shes actually busy.

Bullshit, take her out on Friday to a place you are familiar with, stay out late, close the deal and take her back to your place. Never go out on a date without setting up the possibility of sex, and be sure to imply that sex is your intention: Hint women take hints, don't actually come out and say it, just imply it.
