Tips for college game?

One piece of advice. Get good grades and care about your major. It's much easier to build attraction with a girl when you give off the impression that you are passionate about self-improvement and are goal oriented. Gone are the days of "I don't know what I'm doing in life and don't care where I end up." That was high school cool. Not to mention you are in college for a reason. Pass that shit son.

Besides that never ever pass up an opportunity to meet new people and get involved in campus. Fraternities are a great stress free way to meet girls. Find a student club that shares one of your interests. Join a co-ed inter-mural team if you are even halfway decent at the sport. ANYTIME someone you know is doing something and you are sitting in your dorm room change what you are doing. Go to every party, dinner, even just people hanging out watching a movie that you can.

Don't be a typical college douchebag either. So many of my friends refuse to go to sorority socials with an ugly girl or refuse to hang out with a group of girls if they aren't hot enough. Guess what college is a time of changing social circles constantly. That ugly girl you made friends with freshman year might end up living with a hard 10 junior year and if you made a bad impression or wouldn't give her the time of day your shot with HB10 is pretty much over.

Become an active member of your college community.

Join some study groups, join a club that is interesting to you, go work out at the gym, ect. That is the best way to meet tons of other students.

[this ended up being longer than I expected. Looking over it, it reads more like a primer for new students - but the hell if i'm deleting it at this point. Let me know if you want to know more specifically about seduction for any of these.]

Social life varies substantially between different colleges, but here's my two cents:

fraternities

potentially a way to meet a great group of guys and socialize with sororities. As a rule of thumb, I think the higher percentage of your campus is involved with greek life, the safer of a bet it is to join (if you so desire). Be aware of any antagonism between greek and non-greek students (at my school there's an unfortunate tendency to pit the "frat star" stereotype against the "nerd"). Frat parties are the go-to option for underclassmen girls. At some schools, non-brother males can get in no problem. At mine, you need to know a brother who can either get you on the guest list ahead of time or can let you in when you show up. I have a friends in 2 or 3 frats, and that serves me well if I plan far enough in advance.

"You don't go to frat parties to meet boys." So says one of my female friends. 99% of people are there to get drunk, play pong, or booty grind all night. Of course, any of the above could lead to a one-night hookup, and often do. While it is possible to make lasting friendships at such parties (I have done so), frat parties are generally best for when you just want to let loose and have fun. Finally, I'd suggest you go with friends. Don't expect to be able to use frat brothers or drunk freshmen you barely know as a social crutch.

Oh, and a big plus: everything's free.

bars

If you are fortunate enough to attend a university with a good bar scene, I suggest you take full advantage of it. Standard bar game, which you can read about elsewhere on the site, applies.

nightclubs

If your school is in a big city, like NYU is, the club scene is better - i think - because of the higher number and diversity of clubgoers. My school is in a college town, so clubs are predominately filled with underclassmen and locals. The reputations of different clubs vary from acceptable to downright sketchy. Be aware of when student organizations have promotions or events at clubs; they tend to be better on such nights.

Clubs are a great place to dance like a madman and practice meeting everyone you can with no reservations. Weekend after weekend of clubbing can get expensive. I spent most of my freshman weekends in frats and clubs, but it gets old after a while.

house/apartment parties

For underage, non-greek males like myself, house parties are a huge part of weekend life. House parties can be very difficult to hear about, so networking is essential. When it comes to knowing what's going on, there is a hierarchy that goes like this: 1) the hosts 2) the host's best friends, people invited on facebook, and "the guys who know everyone" 3) friends with tier two 4) everyone else. Obviously there's some fluidity in this structure, but the more people you stay in touch with the better off you'll be. At first, you'll have to do a lot of asking around. When people start asking you what's going on, you know you're on the right track.

House parties are hit-or-miss. Sometimes a 20-person gathering will turn into the best bash of the year. Sometimes the 150-person extravaganza will be a dud. Sometimes the cops will come (if you don't do anything stupid, you won't get in trouble. The hosts might. Just lay low and don't walk outside with alcohol if you're underage). Expect to pay about $5 for the night. Often, the distance from campus will be the limiting factor in whether you can go.

The great thing about house parties is that everyone is open to meeting people. Yeah, there's music playing and maybe a drinking game, but for the most part people are just standing around talking to each other. (But sometimes, it is just a massive rave in a living room. But those are fun in their own right). Beware: often, it's mostly guys - even though girls are the majority at my school.

classes

Just be friendly. Don't worry too much about meeting girls; focus on what you're there for - to learn. That said, if you meet a girl you really like... ask her out!

clubs

Find something you love to do. Ideally, it will combine these four aspects: 1. you're passionate about it 2. it will aid your future success 3. it intrigues other people 4. you like the other members. Obviously, number one is the most important.

One of the most-discussed social aspects of clubs is the "incest" - in other words, members in student organizations hook up with each other a lot. Just be aware of the lasting implications of what you do. Unlike bars and frat parties, you will see these people again.

daygame

I don't really see the purpose of running direct day game at school. Between your nightlife and the social circle you build through classes, clubs, and daily life, it shouldn't be necessary.

Be relaxed, dont take everything so seriously.
Be a part of everything, more contact means more friends means more social proof and a bigger pool.
