So, I met this girl the other night and after some touch and go from her I have realized that she is just shy and a little insecure. She's very good looking, so I find this fairly odd.

Typically with attractive alpha (hell even most beta) girls I act completely outcome independent, that I am super busy, if she can't make time for me no big deal because I've got 900 other fun things to do. This usually works great. They get turned on by the cocky/funny and try to qualify themselves constantly.

For this chick I feel like that won't work because she has a habit of inviting me somewhere then saying something insecure like "Oh but I know it's late and you don't have to come if you don't want to" so if I even give her a little grief "Yeah, maybe I can make it" I feel like she thinks I am outright rejecting her. She is disqualifying herself quite a bit.

Other times she is super affectionate but when she gets around her friends she is REALLY shy around me and unless she is kinda buzzed up she is almost afraid to let me get her by herself, etc. On the other hand, light teasing with her seems to work pretty well. Other times when I tease her (especially via text) I wonder if she almost feels like I'm outright making fun of her.

Also to be clear she is in her mid-20s and I'm in my late 20's so this isn't two high school kids...which I feel like she is kind of acting like.
