It's a little dishonest to do anything to hold on to these girls while you're committed to anyone else, and it's unreasonable to expect them to "wait for you."

Girls do it all the time. They become single, date a couple guys, choose their favorite and then friend zone the rest so that they have backup options at their beck and call. As I don't like this practice, I can't advocate a guy to do it.

Just be honest, tell them that you're becoming exclusive with someone else. This might not even be something that would lower their interest in you at a later time if you become single again. Girls love the validation that comes along with other girls desiring the same thing as they do.

The best way to decline hooking up without it being a rejection is to make it about the new girl.

I simply say, "I've just stared seeing someone and I don't want to disrespect her by getting with anyone else."

The subtext here is "You still make me hard, and in different circumstances I'd still get with you."

Initially, I will not tell the other girls about her, but tell the one I am looking to become exclusive with about them. This may not be the best advice, but it has worked for me in the past.

The girl realized what I was giving up for her, and that I wasn't short on options. Plus, the other girls do tend to get an idea. When they ask - mention that you are developing feelings for this one girl, and you yourself are surprised at that. Girls are emotional beings. They will understand and appreciate that you are honest (when asked).

Just stop hanging out with them and just give little texts every now and then to keep communications up.I don't even see a need to tell them about the girl, you're "busy".

They are your lady friends though, and if/when your relationship ends if you kept communication with them then they'll be back for you depending on their own availability.
