This subreddit seems to have a lot of people that just pass by and check this out. I just wanted to give everyone an idea about pick up art, how it is one of the greatest things a guy could learn, etc. Now by all means I'm not a pick up artist. I'm just starting my way. I do have a good grasp on the concepts, even though my performance is low.

First of all, this is in no way unethical. Men are attracted to a woman's looks, and so there are several industries that only profit from a woman's looks' importance. So many women try their best to stay fit, get their make up and clothes just right, etc. sometimes to the point of obsession. No one is calling these women fakers, even though they use fake hair, fake nails, fake breast enlargements, etc. People know a woman's looks genuinely affects her chances in attracting a man she likes.

Now, when it comes to men, it's not about looks at all. It's about status. This is so blatantly obvious it doesn't need examples. What pick up art teaches men is to behave in the same way as men with status do (which is just as good as genuine status when it comes to attraction). You don't have to lie about being a billionaire, or having a jet, or whatever. You just have to act (with your body language and manner of speaking) as if you are a billionaire, have a jet, and women are all over you. Eventually you will get the status you had to act as if you had (but not lie about) because lots of women are attracted to you and you're a lot more confident and interesting person.

Saying pick up art is unethical is the same as saying fashion, hairdressing, and plastic surgery are all unethical.

Is it effective? Yes, very much. In pick up art they will never tell you to be yourself, to be confident, to tell yourself you'll get the girl you want, etc. These are stupid vague instruction from self-help books that never helped anyone. (Oh! All I had to do is be confident all along!) In pick up art, you will receive specific instruction of what order you should carry on conversation to maintain interest, you will be taught how to handle the many obstacles that could come up, and how to convey your power and sexuality through your body language.

tl;dr - Pick up art is as effective in turning shy unattractive men into bright and social men as how giving an unattractive girl a make-over will make her desired and social.
