Snapchat can definitely be used to your advantage but I'm reluctant to say it's better based on social norms. It can be more personal by showing your face (different facial expressions) and environment (show you lead an interesting life) but from what I've observed, it shows the level of interest a person has for another. The same snap can be sent to multiple people at a time and even if it's just for you, not much can be said in one. If a girl is texting you, she is definitely interested. If she's only snapping you, I would use caution.

I've used Snapchat to keep them engaged or a way to show that I'm fun to hang out with. It's a glimpse into my world for 10 seconds, and if I mess up then I can always redo my snap.

I think snapchat is great. You can build a lot of attraction on snapchat and can carry on conversation through the texting part of snapchat just as well or better than through text. Show the interesting things you do like /u/theTaskmaster- said. Be fun, laid back and you can definitely use snapchat to your advantage. As with texting though, ask her on a date; don't spend too long just snapping, go see her in person again if you aren't planning on it already.

Coming from a girl: Snapchat is a way to stay in touch for whatever encounters could be had, but also a way to be able to ghost out real quick without worrying about text messages or phone calls from people when we're trying to build a relationship with someone for real.

If you have one that really into snap, use it. You can convey tones on top of a message. Easier to be funny, playful, sexual, skeptical ect. Huge tool.

Snapchat definitely has a place in game. Snapchat her a pic of your boobs with the caption "Your Turn". Obviously, you need to have a rapport and everything first with the girl.
