I don't remember Manson ever saying declaring your love to a dating partner was part of his vulnerability? He mostly talks about the known fact that women develop emotional connections by telling you about their thoughts and feelings and it greatly helps women emotionally connect by showing vulnerability in your own life.

That does not mean you crying over how destroyed you were when mommy didn't give you a cookie after school but more along about how you grew because of a setback or began to understand treatment of women because bahbhaha.

In fact I seem to recall he opened that section by asking the reader to consider mating from an attractive woman standpoint....hundreds of dominant powerful males bombarding her since puberty with come-ons which she has to come to terms with how to reject 97% of the time.

But maybe I need to re-read....he mostly spends a lot time breaking down the alpha male jackwag PUA philosophy.

Study after Study has shown that women are 50% more attracted to men whose interest is UNCERTAIN....Manson and other new writers mention that quite often.....and declaring your love or feelings toward a woman to her does NOTHING to increase her attraction to you and often does exactly the opposite.

I thought that was well known??

I don't believe those two concepts are antithetical.

“Vulnerability” comes from the Latin word “vulnus”, which means “wound”; by being vulnerable you're not hiding your soft spots, exposing yourself to the risk of getting hurt. You're not hiding sides of yourself, but you're not showing them off either! You let those emerge as the situation calls for them.

Not an easy concept to grasp, so let me put it into other words. We're used to think about manhood in a certain way, thinking being like that is the only way a man could be viewed as such, so we try to tailor our behavior to fit that model, we wear an armor and we try to make it shine as bright as possible. Being vulnerable is to say “fuck armors!” and present ourselves in the most spontaneous way possible; it's freeing because we're not trapped in that thing anymore and we can express ourselves.

Of course, some girls may not like you that way and it surely hurts, but it's the point: wounds hurt, but at least now you're feeling something; you're facing fear. With time spontaneity becomes a habit and it's a damn sexy habit because you give less and less fucks about outcomes and that means you're more confident than ever.

Removing the armor is good, but removing all of your clothes at ones is creepy. Think about vulnerability as a variant of the game: it's still seduction, but it resembles more dancing than chess.

I must say different approaches work for different people. I find vulnerability refreshing, but others might find it plain stupid because have different goals/philosophies. Find what works best for you.

I have no issue applying vulnerability. Yes, that pushes some beautiful women away because they don't dig my traits, but also polarizes other beautiful women who dig me, then I just pick among them the one who are most compatible and I am happiest to spend time with. It's so effortless and I don't need to stress about gaming and being manipulative.

Models is overrated, yet so many people on this sub swear by it. Seriously? Be honest ALL THE TIME? That's fucking stupid.

It's because there are tons of frustrated PUAs here who got sick of "manipulative game" so instead of finding a balance of honesty and some manipulation, they just go towards putting the pussy on the pedestal all over again.

You're instincts are correct. You are a smart man. I suggest you just do trial and error on your own and realize what works for you.

My take on the subject is that yes vulnerability will not always net you the results you desire every time. Guess what that's the point! It's these situations that develop your emotional tolerance. I was in a similar situation got emotionally crushed, but found a cooler hotter girl. Normally I would be head over heels for her from the first date I'm not. It was being vulnerable too one girl getting crushed that helped me realize I become too invested early. So I worked on myself talked to 40 other girls started spinning plates instead of focusing on one girl, without the emotional crush I wouldn't of gotten too where I am today dating better looking women! Knock all you want about models but it works, it develops you... That's the purpose... You literally where saved from a relationship that wasn't mutually beneficial for you! How is this failure?
