Possibilities:

1) Your game is bad and you're embarrassing them by being associated with it. You're being creepy and they're seen as legitimizing it by association, so now the entire group gets the creepy vibe/label.

2) You're no longer adding much value to the group. You used to be a guy they could go out with and laugh with, now you're the guy who is holding up the conversation or movement of the group because he's spending 10 minutes talking to the waitress / receptionist. Why do I want you as part of the group again?

3) Your success / improvement is making them self-conscious of their own limitations and is making them uncomfortable. Similar to #2 - you now lower the value of the group (in terms of enjoyment) when you're a part of it.

It's probably a combination of the three. Just remember that you have to provide value to your friends for them to want to hang out with you (and vice-versa).

Probably because its a dick move to go out with friends then spend most of your time running off to every girl you see. It's especially rude if you don't include them in the pick up. If you value flirting over your friends, stop bringing your friends along or by all means keep pissing them off and telling them to fuck off. They didn't go get food with you so you could hit on the waitress, they went to spend time with you.

The problem here is is that you're cutting into time that is reserved for your friends. Also the fact that your friends can blatantly tell that you're flirting is a bad sign in itself. Calm yourself down and let conversations naturally, regardless of gender.

If one person mentioned it, I would disregard it. Since it's multiple people I think you should reevaluate your situation. Perhaps you should work on pick up alone or include it with friends who want to join.

You have to calibrate.

You aren't taking your friends emotions and needs into account.

You found a new toy and want to play with it and they think the new behavior (especially if you aren't GOOD at pick up yet) is weird /creepy.

The way I did it=

Don't talk about fight club

Practice with PUA wings and sarge at places you normally don't hang at.

Then when I got good and it was just naturally happening all the time, friends and acquaintances would all say they noticed I've changed. I'm now confident. I'm talking to girls they'd never have the balls to approach.

Then, only IF they asked me what's up, I'd tell them to read THE GAME and I'd explain everything

When you hit on someone while they don't have the option to leave the conversation, it creates an unfair power dynamic and can cause the label of "creep" to be attached to you and/or your friends.

I don't think your friends mind that you game girls, just that you do it at the wrong times sometimes.

A better way of doing things is to approach randoms who aren't at work. Talk to your friend group like "wow, that girl over there's really cute. Is it cool if I go talk to her real quick?" They'll properly excuse you and it'll be playtime guilt free.

My married buddy runs game on chics for fun, but only when we are around. He does it for our benefit. Maybe instead of having the goal be about you, make the game be to see what kind of crazy encounter you can invoke.

For example: my bro was like "yo girl, you got a big fine booty" to a gas station attendant. My jaw dropped as I waited for her reaction...which was to ring up a case of 24 Redbulls for the cost of a 4 pack as she smiled coyly back. Now this is some advanced shit, but I will never forget that moment. Or the free Redbulls on our road trip.

Sometimes you have to put YOU!! before anybody else. If they are really your friends you should be able to do you and they will still be there for you. If your game sucks they SHOULD tell you straight up. That's what real friends do. Yo you want to improve yourself, put them on hold and do you. Become the man you want to be. At the end of the day your the one who won't have a wife or a girlfriend if you don't try to improve yourself. Let no one hinder you from getting what you want man.

What you are doing wrong is that you took terrible advice from professional assholes, and even though a lot of your friends are telling you that you have a problem, you are too dumb to listen.

"It's hard to make them understand". No, they do understand. You are being disrespectful to the workers you are playing your tricks on, your antics are embarrassing your friends, and I suspect they are trying to break it to you that your behaviour is out of line.

How did you fail to learn that hitting on women who are forced into pretending to be nice to you is obnoxious? They are getting paid to do their job and you are manipulating their situation to sneak in extra unpaid services that they don't want to provide.
Why not be honest and just go to a prostitute so she can get paid properly for the work she is doing for you?

Go to a bar where women who want to be picked up will be, and go for it. If you want a wingman make sure they agree that this is to be their role.

I never had this problem because my female friends wanted me to have a GF and they would even help me with women (as a pivot) and my male friends were cool with it because either they were into pickup (and maybe would wing) or there were enough people in the group that they could talk to each other if I was in set....and they enjoyed watching me in set.
