What changed for you that moved you from beginner to intermediate?

The skill of being able to look any beautiful women in the eyes, and listen and talk to her in a completely calm and fearless way.

I'm not sure what level or step that represents. It's not like it made me into a master PUA. Maybe more of an "advanced beginner". But it felt like a really big step and I haven't felt like the same person since I gained this skill. Practically nothing that any guy or girl says to me fazes me any more. It feels like a Zen state (or something).

It happened to me after spending more than a year reading up on inner game and working on things like meditation, daily affirmations, and other calming exercises. The breakthrough came when I practiced eye contact by staring at the face and eyes of pictures of beautiful women and tried to maintain a completely happy, calm state inside. Appreciating her beauty, feeling happy in my body, and recognizing that there is nothing whatsoever to be scared or anxious about. After practicing this on pictures, I found that when I talked to an attractive female (or to anyone, any age) I could go into that calm state and converse as if I didn't feel like a dumb, anxious dweeb any more.

Being in that state means that now I can converse better, listen better, be more funny and empathetic, and convey my feelings of attraction in a calm way.

Realisation that PUA is a just guide to express right emotions/feelings at the right time. Most people referred to that as “being yourself”.
