That's fine, what you're wearing is fine. As long as it's clean(No stains, dirt, food, or any kind of grime) honestly, no matter how you dress the most important is to look CLEAN and smell nice! get a cologne or something like ask a female friend or any female store employee to help you pick one out.

Other night:

Nice jeans, slim fit lacoste polo, some casual onisuka tiger sneakers, watch.

Maybe I'll do a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up occasionally.

Second dates and beyond I'll be a lot more casual / comfortable. T-shirt or polo, shorts, boat shoes.

I think the key you wanna go for is to look nice, but you didn't put too much effort / stress over it. If she looks like she made a real effort to look good, I'll give her a sincere compliment, "You look really nice tonight."

I don't really care too much about what I'm wearing. As long as it's clean and fit together. I usually avoid t-shirts though.

You look like me back when I was not having any success. Your clothes are totally fine.

If I was you (seeing as I am like you); I'd shave my hair, get my ears pierced with small black hoops (not holes; adds a + 0.5 rating to any male), and a thick wrist band. A decade later I'd realise the wrist band could go, but I'd still wear one occasionally for nostalgia's sake.

Black Sketchers are a massive no. Hideous, hideous, hideous. Especially as a bigger guy, you should be wearing some nice boots. A nice pair of quality shoes can make any guy-- any guy-- look a thousand times better.
