It was my second date with this girl. On the first one we had kissed.

She said a couple of peculiar things:

  1. We were walking into a secluded area in a park and she says pre-emptively, "oh don't get any ideas". I wanted to hold the frame of her bringing it up and not me so I just laughed it up thinking that I would bring this up later in the conversation.

  2. She said something about not dating good looking men (because insecurity etc etc). I did a callback on this later about how we aren't dating and we probably won't as she doesn't date good men. Got a good reaction out of her.

  3. As she was leaving I asked her for when are we doing this again. There was visible tension, the right kind. She kept asking if we can change the topic and I just kept saying No. (to be very clear there was playful tension and I wasn't pandering her for a date/time). She then says something like "You really want to do this?..... I am very vanilla in bed". This without any mention from my side of wanting to have sex with her. (I have very good responses for this but all in hindsight, alas)

  4. We go back, I don't message. Next day she sends a text saying "it wasn't about you. I am just daft when it comes to conversations like these"

We didn't really text as much, I would usually tag her in memes on insta and share banter in the comments. I did that once after her message. On the weekend (this is5 days later) I message her asking if she is free in the evening. I am ghosted.

In hindsight I should have definitely suggested that we should try and find out how vanilla you are. And then taken her home.
