You could take some time to get to know someone before having sex. And then if you try and can't, maybe you need some more time with her to get comfortable. She'll understand. You could always say a white lie and tell her you just got out of a relationship a couple months before you met her or whatever. She'll understand if you miss someone. But I wouldn't recommend it.. It's best to be honest and own it with confidence. Just saying, you could make it easier on yourself if you need to.

Yeah that's fairly normal. I was very much so like that until I got comfortable with having sex. It seemed to me like up until then everything was just a game that I had to play right to get laid. Try ease up a little bit and just do what feels fun. Drinking can help, but I wouldn't say thats the best way to go about it. Just find someone you feel comfortable with, if you read a bit of /r/seddit and put it into practice that should help.

It will pass, just go out, have fun, get laid, then get used to having sex.

This is all possibly some horrible advice, but it would get you past your little "hump."

I've had the same problem. I would assume that it is an insecurity. I think about it and tell myself I don't need it, but when I don't have it I feel like I need it. It's really fucking annoying. My problem may come from porn though, as someone else on the forum mentioned, porn distorts your perception of sex. We feel like we have to live up to those expectations or something. So if you watch a lot of porn I would recommend to do your best to stop it. It takes time but It's totally worth it. This entire "game" thing is all about building your own confidence. Porn doesnt help.

I was the same way at the same age until eventually a persistent and attractive young lady convinced me to give in and enjoy myself already. I'm still insanely picky about women and even the situations in which I meet them, but I will tell you the same thing I have to keep telling myself: pull your head out of your ass.
