An example: You are on a date and a girl says "your hair is out of fashion"

She is trying to construct a reality where you aren't good at keeping a good hair style..she is creating a reality where you have a problem. Or you have a flaw, rather.

You can defend a better frame by saying something like "I didn't know hair was that important to you".

Now you are saying the problem is that she cares a lot about hair.. and the problem is therefore not that you are poor with hair upkeep. But that she is superficial.

It's subtle this. Takes practice.

It's a counterfeit to the original. Like how lust is a counterfeit for attraction.
