Bold tats are very striking but they're not the last word in fashion and they're not your last/best way to draw attention to yourself.

Being a boring looking guy is another way of peacocking. Many chicks enjoy looking for a Clark Kent type guy with hidden coolness and strength. It's a fantasy for them, to find a stealth super-schlong of her very own, that her hotter chick friends won't steal from her.

The point isn't to look either super cool or boring, the point is to BE that cool guy when chicks come over and check you out.
