What’s the different between being persistent and being needy?

The needy guy wants her at (almost) any price. He is ready to give up his dignity and sense of reality just to get/have her. This leads to a weak, overly emotional and unmanly vibe.

Both are bad. The whole “I got the girl because I was persistent” is now a fallacy carried over from our parents and grandparents generation when that kind of behavior might have been rewarded. Respectful yet mysterious is what draws people towards you in todays world.

I would say needy is if you are more emotional invested and reactive. While persistant you just try a few more times and are cool if it does not work.
