What's your usual method during a first date?

Whether its for a hookup or a relationship the way I carry out my dates is the same.

I prefer more active dates where we don't just sit and eat/drink the whole time but we actually do stuff like attend a concert, go to a zoo/aquarium/amusement park, go to some sort of exhibit, go ice skating/bowling/mini golf/laser tag/escape room, etc.

Then I suggest a place to eat afterwards, it's a place I've pre-planned to be closer to my place, sometimes if the place we do the activity is close enough then we just go straight to my place after.

Since the activity is the main draw, not the food, you don't need to make the food an event so you can literally just order pizza or drop by a food truck.

From there if we aren't at my place already I invite her back with some sort of reason like me showing her something or us doing something together or having drinks/dessert, etc. Deliberately eating somewhere close to my place also makes this easier to agree to.

When at my place I escalate as far as I can. Whether the date ends in sex or not I would have already taken it as far as it would have gone that day, something you can't always do if you spend the entirey of your dates out in public.

Then we either stop seeing each other or keep seeing each other and likely have sex with each other too, after having sex 2 or 3 times, when it feels like its gonna become a regular thing I just tell them how I feel about the situation.

I never stop seeing other girls until it's clear that me and a girl both want to commit to each other so whether I tell a girl I like her and would like to see if it could turn into something more or not I will also be telling her that regardless of the direction she wants to take it, I'm still seeing others and will continue to do so until I mutually agree to commit with someone.

For the most part this talk is important for me to bring up to make it clear that a girl I'm seeing will be in a polyamorous situation if they keep seeing me because I meet girls that aren't relationship material for me way more than I meet ones that are.

Those are the things I plan out, I don't plan out specific steps as far as what to do within the interaction like how I'm going to escalate or how I'm gonna build rapport or how I'm gonna build sexual tension, for that I just read the situation in the moment and act how I see fit.

You’ve already broke the touch barrier with the hug. Don’t grab her hand, but instead place your hand somewhere she can grab it (like on your counter console or middle of the table or armrest in a theater) and let her make that move. If she isn’t comfortable yet and you force a grab, it will make her even more uncomfortable. Don’t text her “hope you made it home” but instead tell her before you leave “text me when you get home so I know you’re safe” 1. It shows your protective/passionate side and 2. If she texts you shortly after you know she is excited to talk more/enjoyed the date.

If you’re screening more for a potential partner, I wouldn’t use any game at all.

Outer game for the most part is a huge manipulative tactical facade, that’s good for minimising the time it takes to get laid.

Inner game is a lot, lot, lot better for this case.

Just be yourself, the mask is going to fall off anyway once you get a few months deep into a relationship. Make it obvious. Express interest through your demeanour more than your words but take it easy. What will be will be. I’ve never seen a good relationship come out of first night sex or rushed dates deploying military tactics.

ask for consent before you touch anyone. even for a hug. dont be a creep

a first date isnt different from any other date rho. signal intent, build attraction, escalate (with consent). just stick to your fundamentals. and use calibration (empathy) to dial it up or down.
