I would text next day around lunchtime, shows that you're not over thinking it because it's during a typical break time. "Hey how's your day going? Do you ever get (time you want to hang with her)__ off? I've been wanting to __(first fun date here)_." Or "Hey how's your day going? What's your schedule like? Dinner this week would be chill/cool/great."
