In one of my classes today, I sat next to a hot girl and opened. It was my first real cold approach, if that counts as one. It was really exciting. I could feel my heart beating. I think I start liking this thing. Anyway, we chatted for a bit, I asked her name, bla bla. I couldn't really get to any kino except for shaking her hand. I was thinking getting her number and arranging a study date or something, but she didn't seem like she was interested in me, so at the end of the class I just said "nice to meet you" and left. I got the number of another girl few minutes later but that's not the issue.

My question is did I do the right thing or should I still have gone for the number and/or (study) date even though she didn't really show much interest in me? I don't know how you guys do it, but I escalate or don't depending on what I receive from the girl. For example, the other girl seemed much more interested and I went for her number (actually she brought up the idea of studying together first). Is it beneficial to stop escalating if she doesn't show interest or should I stop at all? Although I'd like to be a shameless motherfucker who does whatever he wants, I'm not one, yet.
