Why are men so confusing

I would read the book: no more mr nice guy. Seems like the guy has some issues with expressing himself in a healthy manner and getting his needs met in a healthy, respecting manner. The book has some good advice for getting over this behaviour.
If you haven't had any physical contact yet, it's probably just a friendship for now. Things could develop and don't be desperate to rush it, but make your intentions clear.
I know it's probably just an emotional response but I do it to: you tend to think when a man/woman reacts a certain way, you think all of them do it. I've been a part of many institutions, had many friends: both unconfident losers and confident good people. This is the behaviour of someone who lacks confidence.

Neither men nor women are confusing. They simply have emotions that derive from emotional baggage in the past that they suck at dealing with in a healthy manner.

Either he has misunderstood the whole push/pull bullshit way too much, you're either his first or one of his first partners (lack of experience), lack of confidence and esteem or there is something potentially more serious.There's spending time with you and there's having that time away so that thought of independence to do your own thing is there.

You can either talk to him (not message) or walk away. Some of the points you've put does sound a bit off.

This is not men, this is one guy. He doesn’t sound like a great guy, and idk for sure but he might be nice when he wants something from you.

I think he might be interested in you but his emotions are affecting his actions too much. On good days he might act warm and inviting but on his bad days he is not going to bother with talking and making an effort.

Or maybe perhaps he is jealous? Has he ever seen you being super friendly or flirty with other guys? That's something that would put me off and make me feel confused and weird about a girl.

He sounds like an asshole. also, I don't think that you as a girl need to be reading seduction tips. unless you are reading this to understand a male's mindset, in which case thats valid. but you don't really need strategies
