Why do people consider the things i do as lame?.

What are you on about? Be passionate about shit and ppl that actually like you will love that about you. Recently got into some “lame” shit like beekeeping and the girls I’m dating love the passion I have for it. In life ppl will either like you or they won’t, go do what makes you happy.

Wanting people to want your validation, means you're wanting their validation. You're validation-seeking.

You want to be liked. We all want that. It's human. But when you want it too much it gives off the vibe that you're "uncool". You're needy and insecure. You care too much about other people's opinions and that makes you uncool.

The reason some people are "cool" is because they have attributes that are valued within their specific society / niche. Kardashians are a good example. They're valued because they have money, beauty (in the eyes of many), and fame. They had a famous dad, they have a rich and famous family. This is highly valued in Los Angeles / parts of the United States.

In addition, Kardashians are famous for "not giving a fuck" what people think. They just do their weird dumb thing because they want to / they like it. That is a quality that makes someone cool.

If you go into the Chess Club and you're Magnus Carlsen - you will be highly valued in that environment. But if Magnus Carlsen goes on the Kardiasians - no-one will know or care who he is. This speaks to the "having an attribute that is valued in the micro-society you're in".

But in general: Once you stop caring if people hate you or like you - more people will begin to like you. It's counterinuitive. The less you want it the more you get it. But you also need to have an attribute that is valued by others.

Honestly the whole status thing is mostly an illusion, as it’s highly contextual. You can be cool in your community but lame outside of it. There’s ways to become cool in people’s eyes, having a skill or having style, being charismatic. But if you have to change who you are at the core to do it, it will never feel fulfilling. It might be that you’re just in the wrong community and you need to find a different community where you’re more appreciated
