College student here. I'm decent looking, and recently have been working a lot on my confidence. I've got good friends, a good sense of humor, and I know I'd make a great catch for some girl out there...but my AA is still pretty bad. However, there are times where it's absent, and times when it's out at full force. When I was younger, I had a ton of social anxiety and there are still remnants within that I'm trying to get rid of.

When it comes to class, the bus, stores, or other public locations, I do much better. The AA is manageable, I can keep a conversation going, and quite often make a good impression. But I always find that girls are caught off guard in public locations (aside from class maybe), and it's easy to get a number or make a friend, but it's hard for me to go further. However, at the more typical bar/party/club scene, my AA is upped 100x in magnitude. I have no idea why, but it gets pretty bad. This sucks because when it comes to simply getting laid (something I really need atm), I fail in the scenarios where it's supposedly most easy.

I really just wanted to prompt a discussion on AA. Why does it have the power to cripple some guys when it comes to seduction? Do you feel it's the biggest culprit when it comes to failure in these areas? I know that maybe some of you haven't had problems with it, but do you think it's always something that can be gotten rid of?
