After going out actively and meeting women non-stop for the last 7 years of my life here’s what I’ve found in regards to the debate of looks.

Very important to keep in mind that I do zero online dating and have only focused on cold approach pickup.

Experimenting with my own looks have only helped a tiny bit, it’s maybe increased the amount of women who are open to me by a few percent, but overall across time it’s been more about how I’ve made the women feel and the character qualities that I’ve developed over the years.

I’ve concluded that we tend to see the best qualities in the people / things we like. If you have captivated a woman and you’re bald or don’t have the best look she’ll rationalize why she likes you around other qualities that are likable like that you’re very calm and masculine or charming and confident and so on. Perhaps you’re muscular or a very committed person with an insane work ethic.

At the end of the day the women are more concerned with how you make them feel and it’s often us guys who are more looks focused (many studies point that we are more visual, perhaps this is because we used to have to hunt back in the day)

Lastly I think being overly concerned with one’s looks is very feminine. Let the women be concerned with the exterior while you’re more concerned with what actually matters, being happy, joyful and connected to the deepest parts of yourself.

As a man you can have a very masculine grounding presence that women never really achieve and when you are like that they’ll look at you with awe and be inspired by you.

They’re inspired by you because many of them lead lives that quite frantic, chaotic and unorganized and so you being that calm, collected and steady is often times the main thing they seek besides sex.

For the cynical person: I can’t argue that someone handsome will get more looks than someone who’s less handsome, but who said that life is a sprint?

Hopefully it's a marathon because if you’ve had a sprint it just means you died early.
