My sophomore year of high school, I was a 300 pound fat kid who only had a small circle of friends. I felt fed up with not being the person I wanted to be and started my spiritual and self improvement journey very early on. My senior year i weighed 180 pounds but I was now muscular instead of fat. I never paid any mind to the girls around me even though I obviously had the desire to have relationships with many of them. I stayed in my lane and focused on making myself the best I could be physically and mentally. Seeing how I lost so much weight a lot of people wanted to naturally talk to me. It got to the point where hearing “omg you lost so much weight!” gave me a headache. It felt like people only noticed me after I lost the weight, as if I was irrelevant to them before. It felt good to be noticed by the girls that never paid me attention and it felt especially good to make out with the girl I had a crush on for 5 years. The only reason my life changed so drastically was because I finally stopped caring about what other people think about me and started to focus on what I thought about me. I’m still on my journey and there’s still much I don’t understand about the world around me but one thing is for certain. Stop caring what other people think about you and live in the moment. The moment is a gift that’s why they call it the present. Change your life, eat healthy, stay active, educate yourself, and never give a single shit as to what anyone else has to say about you. Keep it real with yourself and push yourself and you’ll see the results you want to see.
