Just go out and have a few drinks and some good. It’s not weird to go to a bar by yourself. Don’t let anyone tell you it is.

It's good to push yourself to be social. At the same time, it's important to get enough sleep. So I don't recommend going out to nightclubs every evening. Unless you shift your rhythm to a consistent late night, late morning kind of deal. Sleep is important for mental health, physical health, looking good, and learning.

Research situation with nightlife venues around the town. Either find the biggest bar or find chain of seemingly not related bars that have same owners (so you have secured multiple spots)
Start going to these places alone
Befriend the staff. Come in early hours where there is less customers and they have time to talk. Tip them well and regularly, compliment on cocktail quality, work performance. DO NOT HIT ON THEM. Do not expect anything from them in your favor for a while. Sometimes ask them about drink history etc let them talk a bit about work. Let them vent, listen to them. If it is a small place you maybe will be known to owners after a while. When the staff changes , new staff will be informed that you are basically an untouchable. Keep tipping them.
Start coming to later events. Befriend regulars. Experience the atmosphere, how customers behave themselves. You can start using those places as hunting grounds. Being friends with staff gives you huge social value and lets you feel as a fish in water there.
Find a couple similar spots and change locations every weekend.

Did that myself. Grew a circle of about 45 friends from staff and owners plus 50 more regulars in 4 years but most of them came within the first year and a half. I suck at seduction though (too cynical etc). But you might get better results.

Edit: bartenders may even become your wingmen or wingwomen

And don't drink too much

Let's break the situation down. I am going to break down what you should be doing to not think of the nightclub/Bar as a task but rathe view it a fun place that you love and that are excited to get prepared for.

Shower up, smell good, wear proper college bar attire (maybe watch a vid), get your hair right and feel good prior to starting the night.

Text a wingman if you can go with one that is ideal but otherwise solo is the move.
write on a stickie not in your back pocket the following:

3.Open 1 Open 5 different singles/sets- turn head with a genuine smile and say: looks like
you're having way too much fun over here on your phones

Open 2 Open 5 different singles/sets - Turn over head or walk pass girl and have a light smile on a somewhat shocked face and say: I swear if my gay lover wasn't here you'd already be mine

key Words: Trouble, Adventurous, We/Us(you and girl), Instigator and cute but not usually my type.

watch a video on opening 2 sets and watch another on acting as if you have options.

If you're really good at pulling, going solo isn't much of an issue, because you'll be so active that you will rarely be alone. But if you're inexperienced and get approach anxiety often, yeah going with a sidekick is better and it will might be discouraging without that anchor between your sets.

If you're wingman isn't free tonight ,you could try going to those "social" venues that have various things to do besides a dance floor (pool/arcade/darts/ping pong etc). You can meet people while playing which will warm you up. I've played pool at the more old school dive bars too and met girls that way. But the ratios and quality of girls at those types of bars are lower.
