Here I am, sitting in a cafe at 4AM. A cute girl walks in...I notice her, she notices me. She takes a seat directly facing me about 20 feet away and pulls out her white Macbook. I sit back and stare, trying to lure her into glancing over at me again. My laptop is on my lap; firefox opened with tabs featuring the likes of Plentyoffish, Google voice, and Reddit (of course). She does a half glance...

In between songs playing in the cafe I hear an all too familiar sound, that retarded VADUNN sound that Plentyoffish makes when you're instant messaging. I look down at my task bar and affirm that it didn't come from my laptop. I glance up to see her typing away on her Macbook. I navigate to the Plentyoffish tab on firefox and click the handy 'Online' link...sure enough, there she is.......is this really happening? My heart starts pounding because I know I have to make the best out of this situation. I send her a quick message: <<<SUBJECT: Kittenz n stuff MSG: I think you look better in person :p Isn't it a bit past your bed time?>>> My eyes wander around nervously because I know she's potentially a few seconds away from putting 2 and 2 together. She continues to type away....the retarded sounds continue as well.

I check the 'Viewed Me' section but it's apparent that she hasn't opened my message yet. PAUSE!!! A big shout out to Plentyoffish for changing the OMG DID SHE READ MY MSG info to a paid feature. I truly appreciate it!!!! Over the next 5 minutes I check my viewed me section several times to see if she's read my message yet, still no luck. And then the worst happens....she closes her laptop and begins putting on her coat. Oh noez! "Come back" I yell to her telepathically. She heads out the door with no reply but she does glance my way one final time.

I decided I would go ahead and send her a message that she can read later and help her realize she had missed her one shot at true love.

EDIT2: To all you guys who feel compelled to me offer advice on how you would have done it...thanks, but no thanks. I was just sharing this because I thought it was a cool experience.
