My spouse has extreme contempt for me. She abuses me verbally, emotionally, financially, and immigration-wise. She indirectly implies that she has the full authority to grant and revoke my right to live and work in the USA (she doesn't have that right).

I am an immigrant from the UK. I upended my life in the UK to move to the USA. Through blood, sweat, and tears, I am fully integrated into my church community and work community. I would fully lay down my life for them, as they treat me with so much love, care, and respect.

I paid 90% of the downpayment of our home, and over 75% of our household's fixed monthly bills. My spouse's contributions are decreasing each year, while she continues to extract maximum benefit from me while treating me like the scum of the earth.

My question is: In case of continued escalation of contempt and abuse: Can I just pay her the 10% of downpayment and any equity gained in the home? My 90% is from pre-marital funds and is in a separate account (full paper trail is available). Can I also request that during a divorce, she move out and live in her parents home, which is 15 minutes away? I am afraid when divorce notice is served, she will make a fake claim to the police that I assaulted her (she has a history of always playing the victim, always blaming others, always bullying others.) I would like to continue living in the home. Selling the home would be hard because she would do her maximum to stall the sale.
