In many posts, I’ve found that a few users here have found their SO/fiance/husband after moving to a new area. There is an expected emphasis on being extra safe while dating in a new area.

I’ve noticed the advice given to ladies moving to a new area has a lot to do with making sure any perspective suitor knows that her father or other male figures that are close to her are nearby. So that she can appear cared for, loved, and with a solid support system.

For the women who do not have fathers, perhaps he is deceased or out of the picture, and you are moving to start a new slate. You have no one coming with you, no older brothers, no protection in the form of a male.
